Hawaii Opera Theatre presents Opera Ball 2012, ‘comédie et tragédie.’ The black-tie event will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel. The evening will be filled with tasty food, vivid entertainment, and a chance to dance the night away.
The annual gala is our largest fundraiser – a black tie affair featuring a unique silent auction filled with one-of-a-kind items as well as a wide selection of wine for you and your guests. Kai Vodka and Kai Shochu will offer martinis and other delicious beverages.
Our theme is ‘comédie et tragédie,’ but on November 10th, more comedy and joy will be present than tragedy and gloom. Please book a table, invite a friend, and we’ll see you soon in the Sheraton Ballroom!
Your participation in the Opera Ball ensures Hawaii Opera Theatre continues to flourish, produce sophisticated, and creative opera performances as well as reach over 25,000 keiki statewide, with our award-winning education program.

Diamonds are forever – A small glimpse into an evening at our most premium table ($15,000):
- You and your guests will arrive in luxury, driven to the gala in a stretch limo.
- The evening will continue with premium++ wines, quality table favors and close access to the evening’s entertainment.
- But wait, the host will also receive an invitation to a Meet the Stars party. (Choice of any one of the three 2012-2013 Grand Operas.)
- Stop, there’s more. Host will also receive ten tickets for the final performance of one opera (choice of any opera in Grand Opera Season 2012-13.)
- And if that is not enough to tempt you, host will receive an Invitation to a VIP Dress Rehearsal with reception and backstage tour (choice of any one of the three 2012-2013 Grand Operas).
