Her long list of professional appearances include soloist with the Boston Pops, performances with Yo Yo Ma, and was rehearsal pianist for Leonard Bernstein. Honors include recognition from the National Society of Arts and Letters, the YWCA, a Honpa Hongwanji Mission's Living Treasure Award, the City and County of Honolulu Commission on Culture and the Arts Award, and the Hawaii Arts Alliance's prestigious Alfred Preis Award. A key member of the HOT artistic staff since 1968 she continues to conduct auditions with Henry Akina for the company’s upcoming productions and serves as Co-Chorus Director with Nola Nahulu and rehearsal pianist during Grand Opera Season.
