Hawaii Opera Theatre launches a new drive to promote the year-round benefits of joining the organization as a HOT member. “With the success of our Grand Opera Season fresh in the minds of our patrons, this is an excellent time to recruit new members to the HOT Ohana,” says Suzanne Watanabe, HOT’s Director of Development. “Our goal is to increase our membership by 50% to commemorate HOT’s 50th Anniversary in 2010! It’s an exciting challenge but with the help of our current members, we can meet this mark.”

As a special incentive to encourage new memberships, HOT is offering free gifts from its Treasure Closet. First-time members (someone who has not previously been a HOT member) who join at the $300 (Contributor) level or higher between March 1 through May 31, 2008 can receive one free gift item of their choice (while supplies last!). Available gifts are from the ShOPERABoutique, including HOT mugs, vintage posters of past HOT productions,collectible HOT t-shirts, and librettos. A coupon for the free item will be included with your thank you letter. Gifts must be picked up from the HOT administrative office.
