Beebe FreitasAssociate Artistic Director A graduate of Oberlin College, Ms. Freitas received her Master's Degree from Boston University and studied at Juiliard where she was Choral Accompanist. She has been an accompanist for conductor Leonard Bernstein and has performed with such renowned soloists as Yo Yo Ma, Edgar Meyer and David Shifrin. Ms. Freitas has been with HOT since 1966, and from 1984-89 as Artistic Director. She is the recipient of honors by the National Society of Arts and Letters, the City and County Commission on Culture and the Arts, and a Living Treasure of Hawaii Award by the Honpa Hongwanji Mission of Hawaii.
